The Core PC Story

Summer is finally here! The weather is getting hot (at least on some days) and perhaps you are planning family vacations, family reunions, or fun days in the sun! For this newsletter I am going to share a little about the Core PC “family” and its history and growth, instead of the regular educational newsletter. Core PC proudly celebrated its three year anniversary last month on June 15. Three years ago Joe Sibert, the owner, took a leap of faith and officially incorporated Core PC and Core Programming Group. Fortunately, we have been steadily growing ever since!
Joe grew up in Homedale, ID, and when not busy helping his parents on their ranch, he surrounded himself with computers as he had an instant fascination with them as a kid. In fact he built his first computer at age 13! In high school he owned his own computer repair business and continued to operate his own business after graduating. In his early 20’s he became part owner for a computer store in Nampa, and then 7 years later in June of 2007, he broke off on his own to form Core Programming Group for programming and its subsidiary Core PC for the computer repair and networking.
In December of 2008 he added Chris Eng as a technician due to the growth and increase in service calls for small businesses throughout the Valley. Chris grew up in Boise and graduated from Boise State University with a bachelor in Computer Information Systems in 2007.
More growth meant Joe was finding less and less time to do all the paper work; thus Becky Tucker joined the team in June of 2009 as the office and marketing manager. Becky is also an Idaho native who was born and raised in the Valley and will be finishing her degree in Entrepreneurial Management with a minor in marketing in May of 2011.
And due to more growth we are excited to have just added another member to the team! Jason Thomas of Caldwell joined us last week on June 28. Jason grew up in Cambridge, ID and spent 13 years working for Micron in the Assembly Training department. Jason recently graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an associate in Computer Networking Systems.
We are so thankful to each of our clients, supporters, and friends who bring us business and have helped in the continual growth we have experienced in the last three years despite the difficult economic times.
We are looking forward to continued success and growth in the future with the support of each of you.
